Chopper Hostel

Butters, never one to run from a fight, got into it with a pitbull that wandered onto the grounds. It was a wicked brawl and I dove in the middle of it in a futile attempt to break it up only managing to catch a couple of teeth and get covered in dog blood.

The fight went on way too long no matter how much effort I put into stopping it. The pit had his jaws locked on Butters’ shoulder and no matter many punches and kicks I threw nothing was ending this carnage. I had the pit in a choke hold and was makin’ some headway in choking him out when some random huge guy helped pull them apart and I grabbed Butters to slow his constant advance. I was exhausted and there was blood everywhere. What a nightmare!

I got Butters’ into the house and as his adrenaline left he was in more and more pain, eventually doin’ all he could to find a comfortable position to lick his wounds. The pain and fear in his eyes in the aftermath are tearing me up but I keep a brave face so he doesn’t get upset on top of everything else. This sucks.

I know I will have to get him to the vet but right now there is no way to move him. He ways over 80lbs and with him in this kind of pain there’s a good chance that he’ll bite you, not out of malice but a reaction to the pain.

I have set up a fund below to get some money together for his upcoming vet visit and anything else that’s needed to aid in his recovery. I have no idea what this is going to cost but here at the Hostel there’s no money for emergencies. This is definitely one of those.
