Chopper Hostel

I gotta tell ya, I’m totally down with this whole writing thing. I honestly used to hate it and would do anything just to put it off for another day. Now, I wake up in the middle of the night and punch in a few lines of perpetual pessimism and profanity only to crawl back into my nest right after. It helps me sleep and I’ve been sleepin’ like a baby these days.

Lookin’ forward to gettin’ the election behind us and gettin’ on with livin’ again. It’s been exhausting and I’m done thinkin’ about it. I’m about ready to get back to my regularly scheduled programing.

It’s 70 degrees on November 1st. All the leaves are on the ground, but you can still raise a sweat in a t-shirt. Crazy shit but thank God for global warming just the same. Lookin’ at the grounds, this is when it shows what it still needs tending to when the ground cover dies off.

For years, every fall you could see the garbage that still needed to be hauled off. Now all we see are the bodies of our enemies and some cool campsites that need my attention. It’s good to have a reason to get out of bed in the mornin’.

Thats the main reason I decided to see where opening the grounds and followin’ this Chopper Hostel thing would lead me. Things go to shit when I start playin’ the hermit so I guess I’ll play inn keeper and open the hermitage…again, this spring.

I went a few years after landing the land where I just did what I could just to not freeze and was depressed until the spring. Now, with the Hostel headed into its second season, the grounds need some improvements. It’ll make for a better campground and keep me busy. Right around February things can get bit Edgar Allen Poe-ish around here if there isn’t somethin’ keeping me busy.

That’s the whole idea behind everything associated with Chopper Hostel. It keeps my springer spaniel brain occupied so it doesn’t get the better of me when everything’s grey, dead and dick shinkingly cold.

Writing, as much as I used to hate it, really seems to put some spring in my step when I’m in the thick of it. Chopperhostel.com gives me a reason to write, Chopper Hostel gives me something to write about.

This year I’m really pushin’ to get some cool ass choppers crawlin’ the mountains. That’ll be a trip. This shit is nothing but good and I get to write all about it…these are what I consider my golden years, or it will ultimately implode with devastating consequences, I’ll write about that too.
